What is FSSAI?

FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) is a statutory body which was constituted under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The FSSAI Registration is a process by which business entities can get their food products registered with the authority.

In other words, FSSAI registration is the process of registering your food business with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). FSSAI registration is mandatory for any food business that is producing, handling, and/or selling food. The process includes registering with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, filling out a Company Profile, uploading an application form, and finally submitting a fee for the registration.

Types of FSSAI License Registration

There are three types of FSSAI registrations-

1. Central Registration

This type of registration is for entities that are engaged in the manufacture, processing, or packing of food for sale in India. The application for this type of registration must be made to the Central Food Safety

2. State Registration

This type of registration is for entities that are engaged in the manufacture, processing, or packing of food for sale within a particular state in India. The application for this type of registration must be made to the food safety authority in the state in which the entity is located.

3. Local Registration:

This type of registration is for entities that are engaged in the manufacture, processing, or packing of food for sale within a particular municipality or district in India. The application for this type of registration must be made to the food safety authority in the municipality or district in which the entity is located.

• The authority will inspect the food products to ensure that they meet the food safety standards.

FSSAI License Registration Process

The FSSAI Registration process is as follows:

1. Register with the FSSAI

All food businesses in India must register with the FSSAI. The registration process is simple and can be completed online.
