What Is CUET?

The Common University Entrance Test, prior known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test is an all-India test being coordinated by National Testing Agency for admission to different Undergraduate, Integrated, Postgraduate, Diploma, Certification courses and Research Programs in 45 Central Universities of India

According to the most recent CUET news 2022, the CUET entrance test 2022 will presently be having four segments:

Segment IA – 13 Languages

Segment IB – 19 Languages

Segment II – 27 Domain-explicit Subjects

Segment III – General Test

CUET Syllabus

·        Section 1A & 1B (40 MCQs, 45 Minutes – per subject)

o   RC Passages based on Literary, Narrative & Factual passages

o   Vocabulary based questions based on synonyms & antonyms

o   Grammar test based on sentence correction, fill in the blanks etc

o   Verbal Ability

·        Section 2 (40 MCQs, 45 Minutes – per subject)

Latest Updates

·        9.8 Lac students have registered for the exam

·        Correction window for applications to open on May 25th 2022

·        CUET to be held twice a year from 2023

·        CUET scores (instead of class 12th scores) to be used as admission criteria for the 45 central universities

·        More than 84 universities have adopted the CUET this year

·        Academics are questioning the governments stance on the exam fearing that it will lead to drop outs and increased influence of coaching
