Applicants need to write an ACS Skill Assessment seeking an Australian Skilled Migration Visa. The ACS Skill Assessment contains several qualification groups and eligibility requirements, and criteria that applicants must meet before applying for skill assessment. The applicant’s experience and skills should be appropriate for the qualification to date. The candidate’s goal is to settle in Australia and find permanent work.
The Australian Computer Society (ACS) is the evaluating authority that evaluates applicants with an ICT background. Candidates who lack or do not have relevant ICT qualifications or come from unrelated sectors must submit an RPL Report to ACS detailing their abilities and knowledge. Hence, the RPL Report is required to determine whether the applicant’s skills are transferable.
The RPL Report highlights the applicant’s qualifications and experience for skilled migration to Australia. For example, you must present an ACS RPL Report to demonstrate that your educational qualifications and experience match the ACS’s criteria for migration to Australia. If applicants do not have any ICT experience or a degree, they will demonstrate the abilities and knowledge from their previous experiences.
The RPL Report is vital for immigrants applying for acceptable international visas eager to reside in Australia who do not have the equivalent degree as Australian Universities. The ACS RPL Report must be presented in the correct format for the ACS to be accredited and qualified for immigration to Australia.
Furthermore, submitting copied content increases the likelihood that ACS may bar you from reapplying for a year, which costs a lot of effort and money. The following is a list of eligibility requirements for Australian immigration.

- Bachelor’s Degree Level
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associated Degree Level

A postgraduate degree is not necessary if you have a minimum of 50% of the qualification in ICT since a Bachelor’s with an ICT Major for admission means a computer major. Furthermore, it requires the measurement of long-term capabilities against an AQF Level 8 qualification or higher. Even if you only have 12 topics, an Australian Postgraduate degree must have at least 67 percent ICT content.
- You need to complete the postgraduate qualifications in Australia for at least three semesters or one and a half years of full-time study.
- Two semesters or one year of full-time ICT instruction.

Admission criteria include a bachelor’s degree with a major in information technology, with at least 33 percent ICT content, which is at the postgraduate level.
ICT Minor Criteria
If the ICT Content meets at least 23 of the major requirements, a Bachelor’s degree must be assigned as a minor in computing.
Insufficient ICT Content
Insufficient ICT content if the qualification does not meet the ICT minimum requirements.
Criteria for closely related ICT Content
For the educational certificate to meet the criteria, 65% of the content must be ICT-topic to the ANZSCO profession.
