The traditional way to say a prayer in Arabic is by reciting the Quran or Holy Book. This was the way that Muhammed (SAW) taught his followers when they were brought to Mecca. Recitation of the Quran or Holy Book is however not enough. To recite Quran, you must also chant it by heart with proper internal organs. Prayer tasbih was therefore developed in Mecca. It was developed to help people pray and also to help them in reciting the Quran more quickly in order to accomplish their prayers.
Taweez al-Rabbi is the common name for tasbih prayer beads. It means “reconciling or aligning one’s self with God”. The tasbih prayer was recited by a Muslim by heart as they did not have the facilities to write down their prayers. This was the only way they could pray. A number of Muslims believe tasbih helps them in purifying their souls; others believe tasbih has therapeutic effects on the body.
The prayer tasbih was originally recited silently by a person while standing, sitting, walking, or kneeling. However, in modern times prayer tasbih can be recited silently while sitting, lying down, standing, or walking. muslim prayer beads also help make the recitation of the Quran easier. In general, prayer tasbih is repeated four times in a day, twenty minutes before sunset, or twenty minutes after sunset. However, some mosques vary these periods of time and some even have a day set aside exclusively for prayer tasbih.
Some consider tasbih part of the Muslim religion, however, it is strictly prohibited from being used in prayer. According to the Shari’a Islamic law, tasbih should be uttered by a person who is knowledgeable and has sufficient knowledge to answer all questions related to the prayer. The person reciting tasbih must be able to recite all words of the tasbih with utmost ease. Since tasbih contains many difficult words, an imitating voice is essential to achieve good prayer recitation.
Recitation of tasbih requires a quiet
Recitation of tasbih requires a quiet, comfortable place. When reciting the prayer, the believer should sit straight in a chair with legs comfortably placed apart. Bedsides the knees, legs should be placed flat on the ground. Prayers should be said slowly and softly so as not to break the flow of prayer tasbih.
Prayer tasbih should be done before the prayer. This is followed by performing the recitation of the Tajweed. The recitation of the Tajweed is done one phrase at a time in a slow and deep manner. After the recitation of the Tajweed, prayer tasbih is started and the same deep voice should be repeated.
Prayer tasbih can be started by Muslims from different backgrounds. For instance, when starting the prayer, an imitating voice is used. When finishing the tasbih prayer beads, the same deep voice is used again so that the entire recitation becomes one phrase. Muslims who are conversant with taste can perform the recitation very easily. However, those who have not performed any prayer or had no opportunity to pray often find it very difficult to follow the prescribed tasbih.
A correct tasbih should be followed. It should not be copied from another tasbih. It is advisable to make a few changes to it if the tasbih prayer beads seem to lack rhythm and sentence structure. This needs to do after a bit of practice, as it requires perfect timing. This is what makes tasbeh a unique prayer.
There are several rules which are associated with tasbih. These rules include the right dress code. One should abide by the rule that no pork should be eaten during prayers. The converse is also true, i.e., that no dairy products can be consumed either. If someone breaks this rule, he/she will be subjected to the same punishment as someone who has broken the rule.
