Over the following 25 years, she would win over 100 matches in total and set many records along the way, including becoming one of only six women who have achieved world champion status in both amateur and pro-competition (the others being Lucille Ball, Joe Davis, Walter Hagen, Steve Davis and Peter Nielsen). How did Katsura Become a Billiards Player?

Katsura Masako, also known as the “Queen of Shotput”, is a Japanese woman who has achieved great success in billiards. Born on January 22, 1978, in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, Masako started playing the game early and quickly became good enough to compete in tournaments. Her prowess with cueball soon brought her international recognition, and by 2001 she had won three world championships. Katsura’s success has seen her grace on both magazine covers and television screens worldwide, but it could all have been so different if not for one pivotal moment when she made a costly mistake. In 2004 she narrowly lost out on a chance to become World Champion after being defeated by Karen Cavenaugh in the final of the Women’s Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) Championship.

This disappointment was compounded when Katsura failed to make it past the first round of qualifying for the subsequent year’s event. Undeterred, she redoubled her efforts and returned to win two consecutive WPBA titles before finally becoming World Champion in 2007. In 2013 Katsura announced her retirement from professional competition following another disappointing finish at a major tournament – this time in Event 8 of the 2013 WPA World Nine-ball Championship staged at Dongguan City Arena in Guangdong province. During this match, Katsura suffered an injury that ruled her out of contention for yet another world title.

In 2002, Masako married former porn.

Katsura also made a name for herself on the professional tour by winning several major tournaments: the Derby City Classic (1989), World Open (1993), North American Open (1994), and Caribbean Classic (2002).

In 2003, Katsura became only the second woman to compete at the prestigious PBA World 10-Ball Championship. She finished in eighth place overall, but her efforts were recognized by the tour when she was named the 2003 Female Professional Billiard Player of the Year.

In 2006, Katsura captured her third career world title by winning the Women’s Asian Team Championship. Since then, she has not been disappointed as she has continued to win major tournaments around the world, including the 34th Malaysia Open (2008), the 39th PKA women’s international billiards championship (2009), and the 42nd European Ladies Championship (2010).
